Welcome back to you all from Ms Car, Mr Agnew, Mr Bailey and Ms Lek! We have been thrilled to see so many of our Year 6 students on the first day back!
Today has been very busy, getting ourselves organised and beginning to settle into the new routines of Year 6. The children will receive quite a lot of information slowly throughout this week, so please make sure you check their Blue Home Books daily!
We have discussed leadership roles and responsibilities today and would like to encourage as many of the students to apply for House Captain or Subject Representative roles as possible! Nominees will need to write a speech which will be given to their house groups next week.
Today we focuses on getting to know our new friends by doing a lot of speaking and listening! We had a lot of fun and it got quite silly... but in a good way! During a drawing task, we realised that instructions are actually really hard to give and follow correctly when lots of people are talking!
We also got started on place value in Maths and started thinking about Ancient Egypt in History. It has been a busy but happy day!
We look forward to seeing the rest of our classmates as everyone continues to return throughout this week! Please feel free to contact Ms Car and Mr Agnew if you have any questions or concerns, or just to say hi!
