Week 8 in Y6

Dear parents and students,

It is half term! Woooooo! We hope you all have a nice holiday and enjoy the time off school after a busy first half term.

In class this week the students have been continuing their poetry unit in English and learning more about how to use similes and metaphors in descriptive writing. In maths we have finished our four operations unit by studying short division. After half term, it is fractions!

In science we began to look at how our diet and lifestyle impact our health so don't forget to be healthy during the holiday. Finally, in CCS we began to understand more about the Shang Dynasty. We looked at their society and hierarchy system and compared its similarities and differences with Ancient Egypt.

Well done to the children in Y6A who brought in their excellent homework projects to present in class today. Below are a few photos.
