It has been another exciting week in Y6. Some of the most enjoyable moments came from the Y5 fundraiser where children tried to win Golden Tickets with exciting prizes (eg - No homework, Extra Play Time or Free iPad Time).
In the classroom, the students finished their biography writing in English and started their new project on poetry. Y6 also took part in a fun speaking and listening activity where they had to describe an image for their partner to draw without them seeing it (photos below). In maths, we have been recapping our knowledge of division and applying this to long division questions with reasoning and problem solving. In CCS, we started our new topic learning about the Shang Dynasty in Ancient China.
Congratulations to the girls U11 basketball team who beat Bromsgrove to record their second win of the season this week. Finally, well done to Kane in Y6A who did a fantastic lesson during his 'You're The Teacher' activity (photos below).
