Wow, it has been an incredibly fun week this week in Y6 for Art Week. The children have been making their own puppet characters that they will use in the upcoming English topic about play scripts.
Firstly, the children had to research and design which characters they wanted to make. Secondly, they had to make the puppets using toilet roll, a balloon and paper mache (which got very messy!). Next, the children had to use a variety of materials to create clothes and accessories for their puppet. Finally, they had to paint and decorate them. It was a great activity for the children and the teachers! Check out some of the photos below.
Don't forget, next Thursday is Halloween so make sure you 're wearing your best fancy dress costume : )
