It has been another very busy week in Y6. Not only have we been continuing with all our learning, but we have also started the full rehearsals for the upcoming Y5 and Y6 Mulan production.
In English we have started our second poetry topic. We have studied some different poems in class and the students have started creating their own poem using rhyming couplets and a repetition of syllables. In maths have continued looking at area and perimeter and had lessons involving finding the area of triangles, parallelograms and cuboids. In ICT we have started our new project with the students creating their own digital narrative story. Our CCS art project was great fun this week as the students had to carefully complete a detailed self - portrait of themselves. It was much harder than we thought to make sure all of the facial features were in the correct place!
