Welcome back to Term 2. It has been an enjoyable start back at school after the holidays. This week, we have continued studying Harry Potter in English and began to make comparisons and contrasts between the characters.
In maths, our new topic on position and direction started with the students having to work in groups to create their own treasure hunt for another group to try and complete. After the activity the students gave feedback to each other and areas to try and improve in their use of directions. Here are some photos from this fun activity -
In CCS we have continued looking at mountains and understood how a mountain's altitude can have an impact on its weather and climate each day. Finally, in ICT the students started their new coding topic which will conclude with them making their own game using Purple Mash.
