It has been an extremely busy week in Y6. There has been lots of fun and interesting things we have been doing in class. In English, we have been reading Harry Potter and studied how the author, J.K Rowling, describes the character Dumbledore. The students then had to create their own magical wizard that will be in their narrative story. After that, we went to the art room and the students painted what their wizard would look like. Here are some photos from Y6A -
In maths we started our new topic of algebra. Many of the students thought it would be hard, however once they understood the process to the questions it became easier! Finally, in science Y6 carried out an experiment where they looked at the evolution of a bird's beak. They used different materials to replicate a beak and tried to pick up different types of food that a bird might eat to test its effectiveness.
Have a great weekend.
